About Brian Coughlan
Brian Coughlan is a Belleville-born and raised Saxophone, Clarinet, and Flute player, arranger, and conductor. He studied music at Humber College in Toronto and spent 33 years performing world wide as a musician in the Canadian Armed Forces.
He also played with The New Brunswick and Nova Scotia Symphonies, the Ottawa, Winnipeg and Maritime Jazz Orchestras, and numerous jazz/blues/ pop music groups and in pit orchestras for musicals. Highlights were playing with The Temptations, Frankie Valli, Rich Little and Eddie Fisher and a Motown show he wrote for the Nova Scotia Symphony.
Presently, he is busy freelancing and is the musical director/conductor for the Belleville concert band.
