Tasting Notes
Nose: Expressive aromas of Amarena cherry, ripe raspberry and wild strawberry are complemented by subtle notes of vanillin, black tea and a delicate peppery herbal character.
Palate: Round and supple with generous red and dark berry fruit, silky tannins and a gentle touch of oak. Fresh acidity brings balance and lift, leading to a smooth, lingering finish with notes of ripe cherry and savoury spice. This robust, terroir driven County Pinot is part of our Farmer’s Series which celebrates the friendships we have with other farmers, growers, and vineyards across Ontario.
This elegant, terroir driven Pinot is part of our Farmer's Series, which celebrates the friendships we have with Redtail Vineyard, here in the County. The milkweed on the label art is very characteristic of the area and the vineyard manager, leaves the milkweed undisturbed when weeding the vineyard, to feed the Monarch Butterflies, migrating across the peninsula. The grapes were harvested from the Big Bay Block. Our winemaker, Jonas Newman is also the vineyard manager at Redtail Vineyards.
