Tasting Notes

Nose: Lifted aromas of brandied black cherry, blackberry and cassis are layered with notes of leather, savoury herbs and subtle spice, showcasing the classic character of cool-climate Syrah.

Palate: Rich and expressive, the palate offers generous dark fruit, supple texture and polished tannins. Notes of black plum, savoury spice and leather unfold with balanced acidity, leading to a smooth, lingering finish.

This silky Niagara-On-The-Lake Syrah is part of our Farmers’ Series, which celebrates the friendships we have with Icellars Estate Winery. The dog on the label represents that dogs are and always have been a part of the winery’s personality and hospitality. The Icel family’s dogs have traditionally been very visible around the winery and have become something of a mascot and welcoming committee. Our labels celebrate this and our partnership with them.
